Oklahoma City Thunder defeat Denver Nuggets 96-84. Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren lead with big stats. Team defense and depth drive NBA dominance.
The Oklahoma City Thunder sent a clear message—they’re ready to dominate the NBA, powering through adversity to notch a 96-84 victory over the Denver Nuggets. Jalen Williams roared back to form with 21 points, while Chet Holmgren anchored the defense with four blocks and hauled in 17 rebounds, including nine on the offensive glass. The Thunder’s cohesion shined, as even with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander shooting just 3-for-11 from three and ending his 141-game streak of 20+ points, the squad’s swarming defense and collective grit still led the way.
Despite shooting struggles across the team (38% from the field, 26% from beyond the arc), Oklahoma City proved that a balanced, multi-threat approach is their path to NBA supremacy. As projections now place their roster among the league’s best, can the Thunder’s relentless defense and dynamic contributors carry them deep into 2025? The league has been put on notice—Thunder Up!
